ISSUE ONE: FUTURE ARTISTS HERE TODAY
MARGO
Let me take you back to a time that each of us remembers all too well. It is May 2021, a month into the COVID-19 Pandemic. Businesses are shutting down, opportunities for creatives are drying up, and many of us (myself included) are laid off and locked inside staring at the same four walls wondering “what do I do with myself now?” During this time when the world was more distanced than ever, having a sense of community was an even more instrumental component of our well-being.
From the start I wanted to create a space where people can come together without forethought of judgment or difference, to celebrate genuine creativity and the beauty that resides within our individualities. My goal is to help turn the spotlight onto many of the extremely talented artists from around the world who may not be in the position or have the opportunity to be heard and recognized for all they do. Through this mission, Margo was born.
